Snoop Dogg’s Debut Album ‘Doggystyle’ Released 27 Years Ago Today

Can you believe it has been 27 years since Snoop Dogg released his debut album, Doggystyle?

Back then, it was a big deal to get ‘5 mics’ from The Source magazine. Snoop’s debut album only received 4 mics.

The Source staff writer at the time said the album failed to receive 5 mics because the album was ‘rushed.’

The album gave the world classic songs like, Gin and Juice, Murder Was The Case, Ain’t No Fun If The Homies…

What do you remember about the time period when Snoop dropped his album? What was your favorite song from the album?
