Ava DuVernay Launches Pop-Up Drive In

Ava DuVernay is helping people get out of the house and remain safe at the same time.

Her non-profit Array Alliance is sponsoring a free drive-in movie night this weekend in Los Angeles.

Friday night, the pop-up drive-in theater will show Selena and on Saturday, Purple Rain will be on the big screen.

Cars must be pre-registered to enter and the free event is on a first-come, first-served basis.

We don’t know if DuVernay plans to do this in other parts of the country.
