WHILE HELPING THE AMERICAN RED CROSS RAISE MONEY FOR FLOOD VICTIMS OF FLORENCE TORNADO SWEEPS THROUGH MY HOMETOWN.

Yesterday I worked along with the American Red Cross to help those in need who suffered because of Hurricane Florence. Right after being so happy and feeling good about the 32K we raised, I got a text with this video from my mom telling me if I tried to reach her she would be in the basement of the house because a tornado was due to touch ground there at any moment. Yes I was Frantic and called all of the family, of course no one answered. When I did speak to someone they stated there were no warnings about the tornado until it hit the south side of Richmond wiping out many buildings and claiming one life. Schools were on lock down and parents were confused as to why. When the parents were informed they were allowed to come inside the buildings with their children to take cover. That makes you wonder how can prepare for something such as this? A lot of work will be needed to restore the buildings there, however it could have been worse.Thank God My family is safe but, I am in shocked at how this could not be seen on the radar before it hit. Life is short and we need to act like it is. LOVE IS THE KEY.
