It’s said that “California Love” by the late Tupac Shakur, featuring Dr. Dre, is one of Death Row Records most successful singles to be released.
The single was released during the highest point of the East/West Coast rivalry and put Death Row Records right at the top.
Death Row had the hottest rapper at the time and a producer that everyone wanted to work with.
It’s hard to believe that it’s been 25 years since the iconic songs release.
Do you remember hearing California Love for the first time? What do you think 2Pac would say about hip hop music today? Speaking of the East Coast/West Coast battle, who had the better artists?
