‘Sister Act 3’ Going to Disney Plus With Whoopi Goldberg Starring And Tyler Perry As Producer

Sister Act 3 is officially happening, with Whoopi Goldberg reprising her starring role 30 years after the original.

Disney+ took to Twitter on Friday, breaking the news that the film is now in development and will make its debut on the streaming service.

Producing the third installment is Tyler Perry, which pairs the powerhouses together for the fourth time on a project, notes PEOPLE.

Back in October, Goldberg announced on The Late Late Show with James Corden that she was trying to get the cast back together.
