Give it to em Queen!!!!!!!!

That’s Doctor Queen Latifah if you don’t mind Queen Latifah was awarded an honorary doctorate in fine arts Monday morning at the Rutgers University – Newark.

As she delivered the commencement address, Latifah said, “I’m always asked by people what should I call you? Queen? Latifah? Dana? After today, you can just call me doctor.”

Latifah was born in Newark, New Jersey and raised in East Orange. She told the graduates to remember the importance of home.

Latifah continued, “Graduates, home shapes you, make sure you shape it back. Take a chance on that next kid who comes along the way, the way someone took a chance on you, the way someone took a chance on me.”

New Jersey’s own Dr Dana Owens 😊🎓
