Joy Reid’s New MSNBC Show To Be Called “The ReidOut”

Last month, MSNBC picked that Joy Reid would take over the 7:00 pm Eastern Time show on the network.

We now know the name of the show. It will be called The ReidOut. The official announcement was made on Thursday.

Reid has been a mainstay at MSNBC for years filling in for other hosts, offering perspective as an analyst, and hosting her own weekend program AM Joy. She previously served as the managing editor of The Grio from 2011 to 2014.

Reid becomes the first Black female to host a prime time show in the cable news landscape. The ReidOut will begin on July 20th.
