Jaden Smith donates Water Box to Flint in Ellen DeGeneres’ name

It’s been five years since news broke of Flint, Michigan’s water crisis and with there still being a need for clean water, Jaden Smith partnered with JUST Water to provide a second Water Box to the community, this time in the name of Ellen DeGeneres.

Smith surprised Ellen on June 6th with the donation of a portable filtration system that allows for 5 to 10 gallons of water to be distributed in 60 seconds.

“Bottles of water aren’t always the most efficient thing, said Jaden, “If we see more engagement, [with the Water Box] that’ll push us to do more of a personalized system.”

Jaden along JUST WATER, 501CThree, and mother, Jada Pinkett-Smith visited and presented the Water Box to First Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. Residents are able to fill up for two hours on Thursdays.
