An anonymous donor has gifted $40 million to the NAACP, to establish a new legal scholarship program.

The program will be named the Marshall-Motley Scholars Program, named for former Supreme Court

Justice Thurgood Marhshall and groundbreaking civil rights attorney Constance Baker Motley.

The aim of the scholarship is to develop a new generation of civil rights lawyers in the South, starting with this year’s crop of incoming law students.

If you had enough money to start a scholarship program, what would it support?
