Chris Connors is a real radio junky. At 16, he started doing the night shift at a country station in Virginia. From there, he moved to nights at two top rated Top 40 stations (WXLK & WDCG) and afternoons playing Jazz at his college radio station. Eventually, Chris landed the coveted job of music director/afternoon drive at WQOK, the top rated urban station in Raleigh, NC. His programming stops include top rated WFXC/WFXK in Raleigh, WMMJ in Washington DC and he is currently programming top rated WHXT and WWDM in Columbia SC. In addition to programming duties Chris is also on-air on WWDM daily from 1-3pm.
Chris earned an undergraduate degree in communications (Radio/TV and Film) in 1988, and his Masters degree in Public Administration in 2001. His educational accomplishments, professional experience and incredible work ethic are the reason for his success and numerous awards including: Tom Joyner air personality of the the year, Music director of the year, employee of the year and radio station of the year.
